Why I built this

Brooke Tanner, founder of FindOutMy

I'm Brooke — I built FindOutMy after a weekend spent testing every "guess your age" and style-rating tool I could find online, and coming away annoyed that most of them wanted an account, an email, or a subscription just to tell me something an algorithm guessed from a photo. I'm a self-taught developer, not a licensed expert in age, style, or body science — I got pulled into computer vision as a hobby after playing with face-detection APIs, and FindOutMy grew out of that curiosity. I test every tool on this site myself before it ships, and I'd rather tell you plainly what a tool can't do than oversell it.

How our tools work

Every tool on this site follows the same pattern: you upload a photo (or take one with your camera), our AI analyzes it using OpenAI's vision models guided by a task-specific prompt for that tool, and you get a short, plain-language result. Every tool page also explains exactly how it works, what its accuracy looks like, and any relevant limitations — we'd rather be upfront about what these tools can and can't do than oversell them.

Our tools are built for entertainment and general-interest curiosity. None of them are medical, diagnostic, or professional advice, and several are clearly labeled as such throughout the site. If a result matters to a real decision — health, finance, legal, or otherwise — talk to a qualified professional, not an AI photo tool.
