Privacy Policy

FindOutMy ("we," "us," "our") is operated by MBP Ventures Holdings. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our AI photo analysis tools, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Photos you upload or capture. Used only to generate the result for the tool you're using.
• A randomly generated session identifier. Not tied to your name, email, or any account — we don't require accounts.
• Your IP address. We store the IP address a photo was submitted from, for abuse prevention and as a backstop for the daily limit on free analyses: it lets us block addresses that break our terms of use, and cap how many free analyses one connection can use. It isn't used to identify you personally or shared with anyone else.
• Optional hints you choose to give a tool, such as the first letter of your name and roughly how long it is on Guess My Name. Stored with the result. We never ask for the name itself.
• Basic file metadata (file size, type, and whether it came from an upload or your camera) and the AI-generated result.
• Whether you shared a result, and how many times that link was opened. Anonymous counts only — see "Sharing your result with someone else" below.

We do not require or ask for your name, email address, or any account to use our tools. If you email us directly (for example, via our Contact page), we'll have whatever information you choose to include in that message.

How we use your photo

When you upload or capture a photo, it's sent to our AI processing pipeline, which uses OpenAI's API to analyze it according to the specific tool you're using, and returns a result to you. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell your photos or any information about you to anyone.

If a photo doesn't show everything a tool needs, we may invite you to add a second photo — for example a side view, or a wider shot. That's always optional, and if you do add one, both photos are analyzed together to produce a single result. Each photo is stored, used and deleted exactly as described here.

Third parties we share data with

We use the following third-party service providers ("processors") to operate FindOutMy:

• OpenAI — processes uploaded photos to generate your AI result. See OpenAI's privacy policy.
• Our hosting/cloud storage provider — stores uploaded photos and application data securely.

We do not share your photos or data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party beyond what's needed to operate the service as described above.

Sensitive photo data

Several of our tools analyze faces or bodies in uploaded photos. Depending on where you live, this kind of data may be treated as sensitive or biometric information under applicable law. By uploading or capturing a photo, you consent to it being processed as described in this policy for the purpose of generating your result. If you do not wish for a photo to be processed this way, please don't upload it.

Sharing your result with someone else

Some tools let you create a link to your result and send it to whoever you like. This is entirely optional, and nothing is shared unless you press the share or copy button yourself.

A share link never includes your photo. It shows the AI-generated text of your result and nothing else, so the photo you uploaded stays private no matter who the link is passed on to. The link does not identify you: there is no name, email, or account attached to it.

A share link is a public web address. It's a long random one that nobody can guess, and we ask search engines not to index it, but anyone who has the link can open it — including anyone your recipient forwards it to. Please only send it to people you're happy to have see your result. We count how many times a share link is opened, and whether a visitor went on to use a tool themselves, so we can tell whether the feature is useful; those counts are anonymous. If you want a share link switched off, email us and we'll remove it.

How long we keep your data

We automatically delete the photo file itself 7 days after you upload it. The AI-generated result (the text response, not the photo) may be kept longer for quality review and aggregate, anonymized analytics — but the photo that produced it is gone. You can request deletion of your data sooner, or ask us to delete a result too, at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Cookies

We use a functional session cookie required for the site and our tools to work correctly (for example, to keep your upload connected to your session while it's being processed), and a functional cookie holding a random ID, set when you upload a photo, so we can count your free analyses per browser rather than per network. It contains nothing about you. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any photo or data associated with your session, or ask what data we have, by emailing hello@findoutmy.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA — contact us and we'll do our best to help.

Children's privacy

FindOutMy is for adults — you must be 18 or older to use our tools, as set out in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used our tools, please contact us and we'll remove the relevant data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of FindOutMy after a change means you accept the updated policy.
